On The Map Philippines is an interactive city directory internet website, app and platform.
We believe it is important to be transparent with data in this time so the following will cover the data we keep and what we do with it.
When account holders leave comments on listings our records retain their name, email address, IP address, time and date, and what listing was commented on.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We store this media on a hosted server.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile or the “OTM” feature. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. These accounts are protected by a user defined password.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
At this time, all comments and listings are review by our staff.
If you are a member of a regulated industry, or if you are subject to additional privacy laws, you may be required to disclose that information here.
OTM does not use any automated decision making or profiling with user data.
In the unlikely event that a data breach should occur, we will contact the proper authorities for the case depending on type of information taken.
by default, we do not collect information such as birthdays, social security numbers, or any other personally identifiable information other than name and email address.
